🎧 I Digitised THAT J.Lo Dress and Here’s What I Learned

I am just back from SXSW and the amazing team there have already got the audio of my talk up on their site. In this session I be explored how digitising fashion archives can revolutionise preservation and interaction with fashion collections. The Fashion Museum Bath struggles to showcase its 100,000 strong fashion archive due to limited space and budget. My work explores digitising this archive using technologies from £30,000 handheld scanners to iPhone apps with Lidar scanning. Imagine designing in 3D using textiles from a designer's collection or placing an augmented reality (AR) version of an iconic fashion item in a set that you have designed.
