My business partner and I successfully developed digital assets of more than 200 fabrics for international brands. This led us to found our company Bureau 555 aiming to reduce the skills gap in digital sampling by training staff in Bangladesh & the UK.

Ongoing 2024 Watershed Fellows in Residence programme at The Studio in Bath with the Fashion Museum Bath, exploring the digitisation of existing fashion assets and how these can be implemented within the digital realm. The programme is part of the MyWorld - Strength in Places project.

Course Leader & Senior Lecturer

Gabrielle has taken up various leadership positions across a 7-year period, as well as completing her PGCert and becoming a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority.

Key successes and achievements:

  • Continued success raising NSS scores YOY and achieving 96% student satisfaction

  • Academic mentor for staff undertaking PGCert in Creative Education

  • Designed and led dynamic industry units.

  • Designed, validated and written course curriculum.

LCF & Chelsea College Visiting Lecturer

Gabrielle has been a guest lecturer & industry supervisor on a range of courses across UAL focusing on textiles, sustainability, technology and business enterprise.

Courses worked on:

  • LCF: MA Innovative Fashion Production, lecturing on digital product development

  • LCF: BA Buying & Merchandising, dissertation mentoring and supervision

  • Chelsea College of Art: MA Textile Design, introductory lecture to digital materials

Digital Fashion Course Leader

Gabrielle designed and developed the curriculum and led the course for the Victoria & Albert Museum’s fully funded month-long introduction to digital fashion for 18-26 yr old students.

Key role and achievements:

  • Embed industry talks and mentoring, securing guest lectures and aligning subject matter

  • Design and led public showcase as part of the V&A Performance Festival.

  • Recruit and develop student cohort and technical teaching team.

  • Evaluate and feedback on course to ensure continued funding

Enterprising Alumni Association Presidency

Since 2022, Gabrielle has been President of the UAL Enterprising Alumni Network.

As a former Central St Martin’s graduate, she works to connect UAL alumni with other creative leaders through a variety of networking and educational events. In this role, she organises online and offline monthly networking drinks and activities to inspire UAL’s alumni creative businesses.

In Spring 2024, Gabrielle led a UAL Enterprising Alumni Association event in partnership with Great Bowery about maintaining a creative brand as an artist or creator. Speakers on the panel included LCF graduate Sharmadean Reid MBE, award-winning founder, writer, speaker, and creative consultant and CSM graduate; Maxine Leonard, founder and creative director of Beauty Papers and London College of Fashion graduate; Samuel Ade, founder of online store and platform Ilana and CSM graduate; and Daniel Tyson, Director of Great Bowery Incubator.
