Gabrielle Shiner-Hill is a textile expert, consultant, academic and speaker interested in technology’s role in accelerating sustainability within fashion.

With over 20 years in the fashion industry, Gabrielle’s career has been at the intersection of fashion and innovation, having spent many years working for global businesses across the whole supply chain.

As an experienced consultant and co-founder of digital textile company Bureau 555 , Gabrielle is instrumental in guiding fashion and tech brands towards a more collaborative, transparent and sustainable future, while addressing hierarchical imbalances in the fashion and textile industry.

Research and education is a key component across Gabrielle's work. As a lecturer in sustainable fashion at University of Arts London, Ravensbourne University London and the Victoria & Albert Museum, she has been instrumental in bringing sustainability into the fashion syllabus.

Gabrielle’s academic research has enabled her to vastly improve the quality of digital textile sampling, and its visibility in the industry. More recently, she is actively exploring digitising textiles as a method of preservation.
